THE ROAD TO JERRY SPRINGER

[unedited]

hey my name is kelly, i have already wrote to you about my boyfriend finding out about his ex-girlfriend being pregnant. I have talked to my boyfriend and we both decided that we might stay together because his ex-girlfriend doesnt know if he is the father I told my boyfriend that if he is the father then their is no relationship and I should move on. Am I right for saying that or wrong?

Kelly,

To your credit, you came back for a second dose of reality after a tough Uncle review.
I would have been a little happier if you would have used Spell Check. When my nieces have little respect for how they appear in a published document, I wonder about the amount of respect they have for themselves as humans.

I believe fully that each person should define herself before even dreaming of any serious social relationship. If you are happy writing on a fifth grade level, I have to ask if you are mature enough to understand the complications of involvement with a man so irresponsible as to be uncertain about his own paternity.

In my opinion, the right thing to say is “Get lost, my Uncle Jimmy told me I should spend time building a better Kelly. I have to learn to use Spell Check before starting any serious relationship – especially one with Mr. Paternity Uncertain.”

Of course, I would use very soft languages. You never know how totally irresponsible bozos are going to react.

If you don’t open your eyes soon dear niece of mine, at least keep in touch so we can watch you continue on the Road to Jerry Springer.
