IT’S RAINING MEN

Hi there,
My name is Bianca. I need help with something. Me and my ex-boyfriend broke up because of a long distance relationship. And I moved on with someone else, I love the man that I am with now but I also still have feelings for my ex-boyfriend. He is now living close to me and wants me to move with him but I am already in a relationship. I need help.

Bianca,

Here are some possibilities for handling the delightful dilemma of duo dandies.
A. Stay with the man you love but test your feelings with the old lover whenever you can sneak out without getting caught.
B. Tell the present guy that you really love him but just to be sure you want to test your love on a long weekend with the previous guy.
C. Remind them that honorable men used to have a duel when the lady was not sure.
D. For centuries, and still in many cultures, the father picked the man – ask him.
E. Go to the one with the largest dowry.
F. Run a side by side comparison. Height, weight, age, good looks, assets, income, debt, education, physical condition, number of children/wives – child support/alimony, STD’s, criminal record, drug use/addition, incarcerations, Driving Under the Influence convictions, and anything you think is important.
G. Flip a coin.

(Calling on my psychic powers, I think you will pick “A.”)

So now you have the range of emotion, history, tradition, cold logic and pure chance from which to choose. I don’t think any of those options will serve you well.

You might consider defining what you want out of life. If bouncing between men is what you like or what your mindset, hormones or instincts demand, perhaps you should adopt an, “It’s Raining Men,” life style. If your definition of love includes fidelity, it must trump any feelings you have for “yesterday’s kisses.” If your definition of love is “hormonal inclination,” have the discipline to remain uncommitted to any one man. At least you will avoid this discomfort.

Keep in touch; we can make this a series,
